STOP Collaborate & Listen

If you started singing/rapping when you read the title, you are just as cool (or maybe as old) as I am!

We live in a world where women spend too much time seeing other woman as competition.  Jealousy is a big ugly green monster.  I’ve spent entirely too much time listening to that ugly green monster! I’m done! I’ve got a daughter that I want to be confident in her own skin and in her own ability.  A daughter who is watching me.

You don’t have to listen to that monster telling you that woman is better than you.  What if you saw her as a collaborator? What if you stopped focusing on what you don’t have that she does, and look at what YOU have to offer?  What if she has thought about what you have to offer that she doesn’t?  What if…. you worked together? What if you supported each other?

I am so grateful for the tribe of women I get to collaborate with in my company.  My entire company is women supporting women! We build each other up, work together, and combine our strengths.  In doing so we’ve made videos like this-

I’ve also had the pleasure of working  with other female entrepreneurs.  These women are not my competition, they are my collaborators.  They inspire me to do better.  Supporting other women in different companies, is one of my favorite things! Tell that ugly green monster to sit down and shut up.  Look for the strengths in other women, look at your own strengths.  What collaboration can you work on?
